Students, grades 4-6, are invited to participate in the instrumental music program. The teacher, credentialed in music, instructs students on Tuesdays during the regular school day.

Attendance at the weekly practice is important if students are to learn the instrument they have chosen. Students are expected to practice every day at home. There is a year-end performance, as well as a soloist recital.

The District has a limited number of instruments that may be rented; students may provide their own or also rent from a local music store.

Participation is based on good citizenship and work habits. Students with "Needs Improvement" marks on their report cards will not be allowed to participate in extra-curricular activities.

**All extracurricular programs are pending the availability of funding and staff. Not all programs are held every year.
